Louise Bashall

Doctor of Chiropractic, BSc, BA, DACNB

Hello and Welcome

Chiropractic is a safe, effective and popular choice for many people and families committed to health, wellness and vitality.
People choose chiropractic for a myriad of reasons – including relief from pain and discomfort, decreased flexibility, poor concentration, disturbed sleep, digestive disturbances, headaches, hormonal imbalances, lethargy and fatigue.
Many people also choose chiropractic for overall wellness – understanding that health is about their active involvement in being well and staying well, rather than just the absence of illness.

“I enjoy working with a wide range of problems from head to toe. Although most patients come because they are in pain, it’s fantastic to work with them beyond that and realise the full potential of their health through Chiropractic care, exercise, mindfulness and diet.”

Her fascination with Chiropractic has given her a broad range of skills through post graduate study, notably in Functional Neurology.
“For me, Functional Neurology provides the clearest window into how your mind and body is working, as well as the most appropriate course of care.”
Her practice has a strong emphasis on Functional Neurology, which looks at why is this problem or pain happening, as well as what physical structures are involved. A useful analogy may be if you have a window on the top floor of house that doesn’t shut because of subsidence.  Fixing the window addresses the symptom of what is happening, why it’s there is due to subsidence, by exploring and understanding the subsidence, not only promotes a faster recovery, but is also where long term change can be made.
Louise has also extensively studied Cranio Sacral Therapy and Sacro Occipital Technique.  These  gentle techniques are particularly suited to cranial work in babies and children, as well people with headaches and chronic or sub acute head injuries. She integrates these with more classical Chiropractic techniques depending on what is most appropriate clinically and what you prefer.

What our Patients Say

"Having suffered a slipped disc some years ago my previous treatment was beginning to feel like little more than a sticking plaster to provide short-term relief from my ongoing symptoms. Lou's approach gave me a real sense of progress as she began to unpack the root causes and helped me gain an understanding of what was going on.

Drawing upon her great knowledge and love of her specialism the sessions are always both positive and informative with appropriate exercises being offered and demonstrated where necessary.

My sense of mobility and well-being have been greatly enhanced and I would not hesitate to recommend Lou's excellent services."

− Andy Gray

"I couldn’t believe how the minor adjustments made in one session could have such an immediate effect not just on my body but more importantly my mind too. Dr B’s wealth of experience and passion of both these disciplines is so evident, which is why i confidently would recommend her to anyone. She doesn’t just fix your back , she fixes your mind too! A massive thank you for your ongoing support and advice."

− Mano Basu

"Thank you, Lou, I greatly appreciate your kind and reassuring approach, you always make me feel I'm in very safe hands. I am always completely impressed with the depth of knowledge and passion you so obviously have for your subject and the results are self evident. Looking forward to my next visit."
